David Hooper is an aspiring comic illustrator and character designer from Clarksburg, West Virginia. He is currently a studio art major at West Virginia Wesleyan college. One of his main bodies of work focuses on creative character designs inspired by 1930s rubber hose cartoons, but he diversifies in a range of various illustrative styles. He’s currently working on a comic series called “Wasteland Willy,” which is a satirical and political comedy that follows the last living U.S soldier named Willy on his mis-adventures to save America in a post-apocalyptic West Virginia ravaged by a nuclear war. His main goal in his artistic journey is to become a professional comic creator.
